- Promotes the reuse of pre-owned luxury items by providing authentication information digitally.

TOPPAN's ID Authentication Platform
This is a cloud-based service in which ID devices applied to products can be read by consumer smartphones or dedicated devices in plants or warehouses. This makes it possible for businesses to provide product information, authenticity verification, promotions, and other services to their customers, as well as using the collected data to visualize the supply chain through traceability and monitoring of gray market diversion.

The ubiquity of smartphones, tablets, and other digital devices has led to the diversification of customer touchpoints and increased opportunities for businesses to connect with consumers. To take advantage of this in an effective manner, it is vital for companies to be able to monitor customer behavior in real time and provide optimized services.
By combining its ID device technology with NFC-enabled ID authentication system infrastructure from Selinko SA (Selinko), TOPPAN has established a cloud-based ID authentication platform that creates customer touchpoints and facilitates supply chain management through the safe and secure authentication of unique IDs assigned to individual products.

Businesses adopting the platform will be able to not only enhance customer engagement and provide a range of services directly to consumers, but also visualize and manage the supply chain through traceability and detection of gray market diversion.
In addition to dedicated scanning equipment at manufacturing plants and logistics warehouses, consumers' smartphones can be used to scan QR codes, NFC tags, UHF-band RFID, and other ID devices, enabling companies to provide product information and authenticity verification, run digital promotions and other services, and use collected data to enhance and optimize customer experiences.
Web-based Data Management Dashboard (Brand Manager)
The platform features a secure web-based management interface to manage product and brand information. It provides real-time analysis of scan activity and related data to enable the acquisition of meaningful and actionable consumer insights.
Authentication Engine
The authentication engine supports various types of security encryption technologies from a range of NFC chips and is compatible with tampering/opening detection technology.
Gray Market Detection
Product diversion can be detected via consumer scans using a unique identifier associated with a preset destination market at production and reported directly to Brand Manager.

Consumer Mobile App
A free consumer mobile phone app available on Google Play or the App Store. We also provide an option for brands to integrate functions directly into their own app.

Industrial Line Manager (ILM)
The ILM station consists of a main computer and NFC readers installed along a brand's manufacturing line. It associates tag IDs with product information and verifies tag functionality.

Smart Packages with Built-in NFC Functions
Tamper-evident NFC tag functions integrated into the structure of paper-based packaging to enhance security, maintain design quality, and streamline the process of applying NFC tags.
An NFC communication circuit with a brittle structure is embedded into the packaging as an effective measure to prevent fraud. In addition to providing a higher level of security than conventional NFC labels affixed to the surface of packaging, this solution also helps to reduce workload connected with the process of attaching NFC tags.

Eco-friendly NFC Tag Label with Paper Substrate
This is an eco-friendly NFC tag label that uses paper for the substrate material of the antenna instead of PET film or other conventionally used plastic materials. A new circuit fabrication process has enabled the creation of plastic-free NFC tags in which communication performance is maintained. The fraudulent reapplication of labels is also prevented due to the easily tearable nature of the paper material.

Super Mini-sized Tag
TOPPAN has developed two concept models: one with a diameter of 7 mm, and the other with a diameter of 8 mm. When reducing antenna size, it is normally difficult to maintain communication performance, however TOPPAN's original design ensures the same level of performance as conventional NFC tags in mini-sized tags that can be applied to compact containers.

On-metal Tag
While metal materials normally inhibit communication between NFC devices, these NFC tags perform well even when attached to metals due to their original design and modifications made possible only through TOPPAN's unique expertise.

NFC Labels with High Quality Metallic Design
These labels employ metallic finishes for a premium look, while still maintaining the level of communication performance required for NFC tags. Along with a high quality design, the tags feature a combination of decorative printing technologies, foil design patterns, and antenna design technologies to overcome the challenge of near-field communication being impeded by metal materials.

NFC Tag that Detects Liquid Volume
For the first time in Europe, TOPPAN will showcase its new NFC tag for the contactless detection of liquid volume inside a container. Targeted toward the cosmetics, medical/pharmaceutical, and alcoholic beverage sectors, the tag not only allows users to check how much of a product remains, even inside opaque containers, but also provides brands with data on how much of the product has been used so that marketing strategies can be tailored accordingly.
